Money (and stocks) can’t buy love (or mortar)
Gordon Ghekko’s fortune and Leyman Brothers’ billions in the bank, both made on Wall Street, couldn’t save them from ruin when they overstretched themselves through greed.
Perthville is not too far at all from Wall Street. Its leading Stockbroker, and its prominent and often irate Investment Banker, have joined forces to go into the building business.
Neither has any idea how to get a construction project off the ground, let alone completed but, hey, it’s a cinch! and there are mega profits to be made, with huge demand for buildings in the area.
Sceptics always abound whenever a new venture begins. But maybe the overstretching syndrome will apply. A fair bet, given their business model calls for cost-effective buildings only 2 metres high.
